Hello fellow Arrowmen! 

We have had many new lodge updates released recently and many events coming up, so I am writing this email to recap everything going on within the lodge. Please take care to fully read every item in order to stay informed about the current state of the lodge.

On September 16th from 9:00am to 4:00pm we will be joining the SCAT Committee for a service day to help prepare for the upcoming Manatoc 100 Cent-o-Ree happening September 22nd-24th. Meet us at Camp Manatoc’s Red Oak Nature Center with a lunch, water bottle, gloves, and a cheerful spirit!

As stated in a previous email from our scout executive, the chapters of Marnoc Lodge are changing in the near future. Our current chapters will be retired, and the new chapters will be formed from the existing districts of the Great Trail Council and will be effective October 8th, 2023. The first chapter will contain the Canal and Soaring Eagle Districts, while the second chapter will contain the Crooked River and Stambaugh Districts. There will be a meeting later this month to discuss chapter structure, meeting frequency, rules, goals, and name. We invite all members of the lodge to participate in the first of these meetings on September 20th, 2023 at 6:30pm at the Great Trail Council Service Center 4500 Hudson Dr, Stow, OH 44224. Officer elections for these new chapters will be during our fall fellowship next month, more information will be available for youth interested in running at the committee meeting. 

For those of you who have not heard, our beautiful Camp Manatoc is having its 100th anniversary Cent-o-ree later this month on September 22nd - 24th. You and your units can still register, but registration closes September 8th! More information and registration can be found at https://www.manatoc.org/manatoc-100 

Our lodge has been asked to provide some additional program support throughout the day, primarily by helping with parking. If you will be attending and would like to participate in a couple hours of cheerful service, please reach out to adviser@marnoc.org.

If you are attending, be sure to stop by the Marnoc Lodge booth and trading post! We will have multiple new items available, including a limited edition Manatoc Centennial Celebration Lodge flap. We are also offering an event-only special offer of $10 2023 membership renewal. This will still come with all the perks of membership and your 2023 pocket rocket, so if you have not yet renewed your membership this year be sure to come on by!

It is the time of year yet again to nominate our most distinguished brothers for the Vigil Honor! Anyone who has been a Brotherhood member for at least 2 years as of October 7, 2023, is eligible to be nominated! Remember, the Vigil is awarded to those who demonstrate outstanding service to the lodge, Order of the Arrow, Scouting, or a Scout Camp beyond the responsibilities associated with their position. Any lodge member can submit a nomination, regardless of honor level. Also, a candidate must be nominated to be considered for the Vigil Honor. This year's Spooky Fall Fellowship and officer elections are quickly approaching and will be held at Camp Butler starting on Friday, October 6th at 7:00 pm and ending on Sunday, October 8th at 10:00 am. We will host a variety of Spooky activities, have opportunities to patch trade, and reunite with friends while creating new ones! We will also have another Brotherhood opportunity on Friday night. The time is quickly approaching for our annual Lodge Officer Elections on October 7th at our Fall Fellowship. This is a great opportunity to grow in your leadership skills, meet other arrowmen, and make your impact on our lodge.
