When Marnoc Lodge started the Pocket Rocket tradition just a few years back, the basic dues were increased by a dollar to cover the cost of the dangly little patches. However, this cost in today’s market could not cover mailing the patches to everyone; that would simply cost the Lodge too much money. To avoid the freight cost, the Lodge has added a requirement to receiving a Pocket Rocket. You must attend a Marnoc Lodge event or an event at which the Lodge is represented (including ordeals, ice cream socials, or even the University of Scouting). At any of these events, you will receive your membership card and your pocket rocket when you pay your dues. If you paid your dues to the scout shop, do not worry! We will have record of your payment.
 
To summarize: You must be in attendance at a Marnoc Lodge event and have paid your dues to receive your Pocket Rocket.
